Clarke Kids Perform at Benefit

By SandyGallagher

Four young musicians from Clarke County will be performing at the March 15th benefit dinner for the Clarke County Library. The band of artists has been together for only a short time and has not yet named themselves. Parents of the members call them the "No Name Band". The quartet consists of lead guitarist Taylor Mackintosh, bass player Warren Campbell, drummer Sean Potter and vocalist Addison Peacock. Mackintosh, 14, attends Johnson Williams Middle School. Potter, 14, and Addison, 12, both attend the Powhattan school and Campbell, also 14, attends Clarke County High School.

The group has performed together only one other time at a talent show in February. Their sound is rock, both classic and modern. One listen and you will never guess that they've been together for such a short time OR that the oldest member is only in the ninth grade.

To hear Taylor, Addison, Warren and Sean, be sure to get your tickets for the March 15th dinner at John Enders Fire Hall. Dinner starts at 6:00 and the band will begin playing shortly before that. Come early, enjoy the music and dinner and help us furnish the new Clarke County Library. Tickets available at the library ($15/adult and $10 children 5-12/ seniors 65+). Children under the age of five will be admitted free. For more information call the library at 955-5144.
