Here are some tips to help you find the information you are looking for.
HeadlineIf you know the headline, or part of the headline, type it in the headline box.
Article TextIn the article text box, you can type in words that you know would be in the text of the article you are looking for. If you are looking for information on the mayor, for instance, type in his or her name and all the articles that mention the mayor will be listed in your results.
Author/bylineIf you know the author of the article, you may type
it in the byline/author box to help refine your search.
For instance, if you want articles about the mayor, but only
those written by a certain staff writer, type that writer's name
in and you'll get only those stories written by that writer that
are about the mayor. If you want all articles by a certain
writer, no matter what the subject, type the author's name in
the byline/author box and you will get all the writers' articles.
Note: If you are looking for articles by a
certain writer and want to see articles that are earlier than a few months ago,
type the writer's name under the article text box. You will get all
possible results, going back to 1999.
Click on the drop-down menu to choose the time period you are looking for.
SectionsThe drop-down menu for sections allows you to restrict your search to certain categories of stories.
Sort ByThe sort by menu allows you to determine the order of your results. You may choose to receive your results in chronological order beginning with the most recent, the lease recent, or alphabetically by headline.
